Setting Up Your E-commerce Store

Building your ecommerce website is largely exactly similar to that of building a normal website on DOJODIGI with our convenient drag and drop feature, over 1000+ of professionally designed templates tailored to different industries, SEO tools & more.   • Summary: head to the sites tab > websites page, choose from our professionally designed templates or create one from scratch.

Any website/template can be made into an ecommerce store on DOJODIGI. This is because store pages in DOJODIGI are categorized separately from normal site pages to streamline e-commerce management. This separation ensures that product listings, categories, and checkout processes are handled efficiently and don't interfere with the main website content. Store pages are designed with e-commerce functionalities in mind, providing a seamless shopping experience for customers.

How to add a store to any site:

  • In the websites page of the sites tab, click on your website

  • Click on "edit" for any of the pages to launch the editor

  • Click on the + icon on the top left and click on store

  • Click + add to site and wait for the store pages to load

  • Click on the page drop down in the editor and you'll now see a store section with store pages

Editing Your Store Pages:

A standard store has five essential pages: the product list, product details, cart page, checkout page, and thank you page.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to edit these specific store pages and store-specific elements. For general website editing and elements like fonts, padding, and color, please refer to this link.

Note: All store pages in the editor show a generic view. To see your products displayed after editing, save your work and click on the eye icon at the top to preview your edited page with your products (ensure you have added your products. Read more here).

Tip: Remember to always save your work before exiting a page!

Tip: Save your website footer and headers as section templates and apply them to your store pages for consistency and branding!

Tip: Edit your column and section backgrounds, fonts, button colors to match your websites for consistency and branding!

Product List Page

This page displays all your products. To edit your store page:

  1. Click on the Product List Element: A pop-up menu will appear on the left side of your screen.

  2. Manage Products:

    • Add, edit, or remove products in your store.

    • This will redirect you to the products page.

  3. Enable Sorting:

    • Allow customers to sort your products by criteria, such as best selling.

  4. Enable Filtering:

    • Allow customers to filter your products by price or availability (change this in advanced settings).

  5. Edit Layout Options:

    • Change how many products are displayed on the product list page.

  6. Edit Other Options:

    • Adjust fonts, background color, etc.

Product Details Page

This page is the template for when someone clicks on a product you have listed. All product details pages will have a standardized look set here.

  1. Click on the Product Details Element:

    • A pop-up menu will appear.

  2. Select Buttons and Related Products:

    • Choose what buttons to add and whether to show related products.

  3. Configure Layout of Related Products Section:

    • Adjust the layout as needed.

Note: All product details (name, description, pricing, discounts, sizing, color, etc.) are to be edited in the products page under the payments tab. You can access this page by clicking on manage products in the pop-up menu. This configuration is to set a general product details page for when customers click on any product in your store.

Cart Page

This page shows what your customers have added to their cart.

  1. Click on the Cart Element:

    • Edit it as you wish using the pop-up menu.

Checkout Page

This page is where customers finalize their purchases.

  1. Click on the Checkout Element:

    • Edit it as you wish.

  2. Click on Advanced Settings:

    • Edit details such as enabling sticky contacts, changing form options, validating the customer email, toggling shipping details (for online vs physical products), allowing coupon codes, etc.

Thank You Page

This page is displayed after a purchase is completed.

  1. Click on the Thank You Element:

    • Edit it as you wish using the pop-up menu.
